I bring a user-designed approach to consulting to help schools, camps, and other learning organizations craft a mission and vision for their work through a backwards design process.

As a teacher of American history, the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, and current events, I bring a civics orientation to this work. I specialize in facilitating conversations, auditing curriculum, and supporting the personal and professional growth of my students.

HEART | HEAD | HAND

The Heart | Head | Hand approach combines educational philosophy and pedagogy to tackle challenging civic conversations. It can be used by students to process political issues, by educators to audit their curriculum, and by communities to engage deeply with one another.

This simple yet substantive approach to the classroom can build empathy, trust, and an open learning environment. 

CONNECTION-KNOWLEDGE-stance

The Connection Knowledge Stance approach was developed at Gann Academy as a new paradigm for Israel education. It combines storytelling with a stance of inquiry to guide participants how they want to engage civically.

This approach can be used by participants of all ages to better decipher the world and their place within it.

CUSTOM

For me, civic participation is the measure of success for any learning community. I offer a range of topics and workshops to help communities better understand American and Israeli politics, current events, and the intersection between civics and identity.
